If we are to consider the four categories that we've made in ranking the 82 contestants of Miss Earth 2006 and get the total average from the points in Evening Gown, Swimsuit, Photogenic Quality and Vibrance/Personality, we would come up with a different set and ranking. But Miss Earth is always beyond beauty and beyond physical attributes. Good communication skills, personality and a genuine concern for the environment are plus factors that should be considered and weigh equally together with cliche requirements in every pageants: beautiful face, fit body and elegant evening gown.

Here is BEAUTY WORLD CUP's CHOICE for the winner, the finalists and the possible alternates:

MISS EARTH 2006: CANADA, Riza Raquel Santos

Regardless of what other people say, Canada captivated me with her charismatic personality. Yes, she's not in my top 16 list in Evening gown and Swimsuit but she's got the "it" factor and a winning personality plus good communication skills perfect to be nature's ambassador. Miss Earth is the busiest queen of all beauty pageants winners and i believe Riza can carry all the duties Alexandra Braun will pass on to her. Her Filipino blood is a plus because Filipinos are flexible and adaptable people that's why you can see them all over the world. I'm not choosing her because she's a Filipino, i'm choosing her because she's got all the qualities to be queen of the earth. She may not be Top 16 in swimsuit and evening gown but what is essential is invisible to the naked eye.

MISS EARTH AIR: VENEZUELA, Marianne Pasqualina Puglia

Marianne ranked in all four categories which proves that Venezuela is serious to have a back-to-back victory in Miss Earth. If they've only sent Marianne in Miss Universe, they would have placed at least in the top 10. Her free-spirited aura and natural smile plus the experience are perfect to be nature's ambassador. If you will ask me, the possibility for a back-to-back victory for Venezuela is really big. A top 8 position is not a problem. It's up to how Marianne will communicate her concern for the environment. If this girl is e-articulate, Venezuela it is!

MISS EARTH WATER: INDIA, Amruta Patki

Like Venezuela, Amruta ranked in all four categories: No. 13 in Swimsuit, No. 1 in Evening Gown, Photogenic - ranked no. 12 and in Vibrance and Personality - she ranked no. 7. Indian women are known to be very good communicators and there's no doubt that if she enters the Top 16, she will make it to the top 4. Amruta is very elegant, it's what separates her from the other delegates.

MISS EARTH FIRE: USA, Amanda Penekamp

Even before her arrival in the Philippines, Amanda has always been a favorite among pageant enthusiasts. She's glowing with all the attributes we are looking for in a beauty queen: great smile, beautiful face, nice body, good catwalk skills and intelligence. Nothing can stop this woman in penetrating the finals. And who knows, she could win it all!

wygrała Miss Chile:) z całej 4 była najlepsza.

Podtrzymuje swoje zdanie o tym, że jest to najbardziej sprawiedliwy konkurs. Miss Chile wygrała mimo iż Chile nie wywiązało się z organizacji konkursu (nam się trochę oberwało od Julci mimo iż konkurs się odbył). Miss Filipin-mimo iż nie najpiękniejsza to podobno była najlpesza w odpowiedziach na pytanie i być może miejsce jej się słusznie należało. Wenezuela-werdykt bardzo przewidywalny. No i Indie-faworytka od początku konkursu-miejsce zasłużone. Mnie cieszy wygrana Chile, choć wolałabym zobaczyć na jej miejscy Francys. Chile-urodą, uśmiechem, włosami bardzo przypomina mi Pricillę Meirelles-chyba właśnie takie dziewczyny na Filipinach najlepiej się sprzedają. Gratulacje dla Franki za sukces-była świetna.
Kto za rok z Polski??? Analizując urodę zwyciężczyń tego konkursu z lat ubiegłych, to nie mam pojęcia kogo możemy wysłać. Moim zdaniem, żadna z naszych dziewczyn z top nie pasuje na ten konkurs. Biuro będzie miało ciężki orzech do zgryzienia.
Nasza dziewczyna musi mieć świetną suknię na konkurs sukien wieczorowych i świetną figurę do konkursu bikini. To są chyba dwa podstawowe wymogi, bo znowu w top 4 znalazły się zwyciężczynie tych dwóch minikonkursów.
